Split Tunneling

Network Privacy

Some traffic uses the VPN, some doesn’t.

Definition

Split tunneling lets you choose which apps or websites go through the VPN and which use your normal internet connection.

In plain English Some traffic uses the VPN, some doesn’t.

Why this matters

Why it matters: It can improve speed, but it may leak your real IP/DNS for traffic outside the VPN.

Example

Example: Only your browser uses the VPN; everything else uses normal internet.
