Overview
Andi's stack uses a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architecture. The system fetches results from partner indexes (news, reference, docs), ranks them, and feeds only the relevant passages into its transformer model. The answer is generated alongside a JSON citation graph so the UI can show exact paragraphs.
Because Andi does not run an ad network or partner pixel, every search runs in a clean sandbox. Optional accounts store saved threads in encrypted PostgreSQL storage behind role-based access controls. Telemetry is restricted to event counts and latency histograms; IP addresses are truncated before storage.
The company operates out of the United States but mirrors cache nodes in Canada and the EU to keep latency low without exporting raw query logs outside the jurisdiction. If you need verifiable citations and want to avoid behavioral profiling, Andi is one of the leanest options available.
